Baby Jogger City Select Stroller & City Select Car Seat
The City Select 2 Stroller Eco Collection is a versatile stroller that converts from a single to double stroller with the addition of a second seat or glider board (sold separately). The City Select 2 Stroller, Eco Collection can be configured to a triple travel system with the addition of a bench or an infant car seat. In all, it offers 24 different configurations and is a top-ranked stroller overall. The model is made of Baby Jogger's breathable, soft TENCEL fabrics that help with thermal regulation and are sustainably sourced. It features an elegant leatherette handlebar and bumper bar, as well as an abdominal bar. It's 20% smaller and lighter than the top single-to-double stroller on the market, the UPPAbaby V2.
It has a moderate-sized shade and a magnetic peek-aboo window, which is easy to open or close. The telescoping handlebars are one of the simplest to adjust and works well for parents of all heights. The seats recline and come with a footwell adjustment knob to allow you to place your child to ensure maximum comfort. The storage bin is spacious with plenty of space, but we would have preferred a more secure latch. The bin is easy to open, but the zippers can be annoying because they need to be removed and then put back in place after each use.
Like its counterparts Like its brothers, the City Select has single-action brakes which are easy to set and release by the pull of a lever on the side of the frame, lower than the handlebar. It is sandal- and barefoot friendly and is a significant improvement over the awkward levers for brakes that some competitors use.
This is the only stroller we've reviewed in our review that is able to accept two infant car seats which makes it a great alternative for twins, or for parents with just one child and a new baby due. It can fit the majority of infant car seats made by major brands with an adapter. We tested it with the Britax/BOB Chicco KeyFit 30 and Graco Click Connect models as well as the Cybex Aton, Aton Q and Nuna Pipa.
The City Select is incompatible with the UPPAbaby Vista V2. It's a good option for families that already have a car seat and need an appropriate stroller, but you may be better off with another convertible stroller that can fit an additional car seat for infants in this instance.
